ZALA HAIR EXTENSIONS REVIEW

It's been a long time since I've worn extensions, but as my hair is getting longer and healthier, I decided to purchase some to add volume and a lot more length. I can't tell you the amount of time I spent researching all the new (and old!) exciting brands out there. After countless hours on YouTube and scrolling through blog posts, I came to the decision to purchase some ZALA extensions. An Australian brand that have a pretty good online reputation.

It took me some time to decide between Bellami, IrresistableMe, and of course ZALA. There were many reasons I decided not to choose the two others (which I won’t go into right now). However, I did find some discerning reviews for ZALA, like the ‘black’ synthetic hairs some people found, and other issues with the quality of the hair. But overall, most people found them fantastic.

So, after many hours of research, I placed an order for the quadweft hair extensions. I know, right! Quadweft… A LOT of hair. Actually, a total of 265 grams worth! I paid $289 (ozzy dollars) for them, and they took 3 days to arrive. I think the reason I decided to go for these and not their standard triple weft, is because I really wanted that wow factor. Also, they had just released them, and I was keen to try a brand new product.

I ordered my extensions in Honey Blonde #18, a beautiful creamy colour. These are 20", and as you can see, they are seriously thick from top to bottom. When I first opened the box, I was pretty shocked at the weight and thickness of the hair. It felt soft, and shiny, which is exactly what you want in new extensions.

When it came to actually putting them in, I was confused. There was so much hair I didn't really know where to start. So, I followed their video on their website. I found with most of the hair in, it looked very fake. It almost looked like synthetic hair extensions, because they were so thick and blunt at the ends. Frustrated, I took to trying different pieces and seeing what worked best for my hair type and shape. I finally found a perfect match! What works best for me is 1 x 4 clip piece, 1 x 3 clip piece, and 2 x 2 clip pieces. It doesn't seem like a lot of hair, but it is! It adds so much volume and doesn't feel heavy on my head. I don't feel like it's a waste either, because I practically have another whole set with the ones left over.

The set comes with 2 x 4 clip piece, 3 x 3 clip pieces, 2 x 2 clip pieces, and 2 x 1 clip pieces.

I tried these bad boys out on a windy day fishing at the river. A great way to test out the quality of the hair. Now, my hair is very fine and tangles easily, so I was pleased to find at the end of the day the extensions themselves hadn't tangled at all, they still felt super soft. The amount of times in previous years I've tried to vigorously brush the knots out of my hair extensions, only to leave the remnants of chewbacca on my floor. None of that happening with these.

I seriously love, love, LOVE these extensions. And, if your looking for quality at a good price, I would seriously recommend them.
